As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that each young person receives the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to young people with challenging behavior
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the team
  • Contribute to a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the well-being of residents
  • Work closely with the team to ensure seamless care and support
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and progress

Requirements:

  • Full manual driving license
  • Previous experience of working with challenging young people (desirable, not essential)
  • Willingness to work towards the fully funded qualification in level 3 Children and Young People (or already qualified)
  • Ability to work on their own initiative to a high level of accuracy and maintain clear, neat records
  • Good interpersonal skills and a positive team player
  • Empathetic nature and ability to engage, motivate, and encourage young people
  • Good oral and written communication skills in a variety of contexts
