We are thrilled to present an opportunity to become a Funeral Care Operative within our Funeralcare division.
This position is available on a casual basis, with shifts scheduled Monday through Friday and additional on-call responsibilities during evenings and weekends.
In this role, you will provide exceptional end-of-life care and support to families during their time of need. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the seamless execution of funerals, which encompasses the collection, transportation, and preparation of the deceased, as well as driving our vehicles and serving as a conductor or bearer during services. This position demands physical strength and emotional resilience, requiring a compassionate approach to support grieving families.
We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about building connections, helping others, and providing outstanding service to those in mourning. Previous experience in the funeral sector is not necessary, as we will offer comprehensive training and support for your professional growth.
Requirements:
A full, clean UK driving license for both manual and automatic vehicles. Applicants must be over 25 for insurance purposes.Key Responsibilities:
Transporting the deceased to our funeral homes, which may involve challenging locations. Assisting in the dressing and preparation of the deceased for viewings and funerals. Driving our vehicles with care, ensuring they are maintained in excellent condition. Serving as a bearer during various types of funerals and removals. Building strong relationships within the community and acting as a trusted representative of our funeral services. Engaging in manual handling as part of your duties.Essential Skills:
Excellent communication and listening abilities. Demonstrated resilience and capability to work under pressure. High levels of empathy and compassion. Flexibility to support our on-call service, including availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays.Benefits:
