About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to join our End of Life Services team as a Funeral Service Operative. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care and support to the deceased and their families during a difficult time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collecting the deceased and transporting them to our funeral homes, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
  • Assisting with the preparation of the deceased, including dressing and placing them in a coffin or casket.
  • Driving our vehicles with pride and care, ensuring they are in pristine condition for each funeral.
  • Acting as a bearer on all types of funerals and removals, providing a dignified and respectful service.
  • Supporting our local communities, building strong relationships, and acting as a trusted ambassador for our funeral care services.
Requirements
  • Great communication and listening skills, with the ability to empathize with those who are grieving.
  • Flexibility to support our on-call service, including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.
  • A full, clean UK driving license for both manual and automatic vehicles.
