Manufacturing Site Manager

Core Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight (80%):

  1. Establishing and maintaining production workflows
  2. Conducting regular compliance assessments
  3. Overseeing the loading and unloading of shipments
  4. Utilizing Fork Lift Trucks as necessary
  5. Implementing Health & Safety protocols for machinery
  6. Ensuring product quality standards are met
  7. Managing the logistics area for incoming and outgoing goods

Administrative Duties (20%):

  1. Creating staff schedules, performance reviews, and leave plans
  2. Overseeing temporary workforce management
  3. Maintaining inventory control and conducting stock audits
  4. Performing facility safety inspections
  5. Handling HR responsibilities and conducting investigations
Production Management:
  1. Lead and mentor a team of production staff and temporary workers
  2. Develop and execute production timelines to satisfy client demands
  3. Analyze production data and implement corrective measures to achieve objectives
  4. Engage in Fork Truck operations as required
Equipment Maintenance:
  1. Carry out routine inspections of machinery
  2. Collaborate with maintenance personnel for repairs and upkeep
  3. Set up and operate various machinery types
Staff Training:
  1. Educate production staff on standard operating procedures and safety measures
  2. Create training resources and maintain the training documentation
  3. Assist in resolving equipment issues
Process Enhancement:
  1. Identify and implement strategies for process optimization, cost savings, and waste reduction
  2. Utilize Lean manufacturing techniques to improve production efficiency
Safety and Regulatory Compliance:
  1. Ensure adherence to all safety standards and company regulations
  2. Conduct frequent safety evaluations and address any issues
Production Workflow Overview:
  1. Raw materials enter the facility for processing
  2. Materials are folded and counted using specialized equipment
  3. Subsequent processes include banding and leaflet integration
  4. Final products are shrink-wrapped and labeled
  5. Items are re-palletized and prepared for shipment
Candidate Profile:
  1. Demonstrated experience in a managerial capacity within manufacturing
  2. Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
  3. Exceptional problem-solving skills
  4. Adaptable to changing work environments
  5. Forklift certification is a plus
