Job Title: Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse Specialist to join our team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide specialist nursing input into the development, delivery, and evaluation of cardiac services within both inpatient and outpatient settings. This will include working with the multidisciplinary team to provide care and management for patients with chest pain of suspected or confirmed cardiac origin.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with cardiac conditions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide education and training on cardiac care and management.
  • Participate in the development and evaluation of cardiac services, including the Rapid Access Chest Pain (RACP) Service.
  • Work closely with Consultant Cardiologists and other members of the Cardiology multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Provide specialist advice on the purchase and commissioning of resources related to cardiology.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Education to Degree Level.
  • Evidence of continuing clinical and professional development, including relevant post-registration courses.
  • Non-medical Prescriber or working towards.
  • Relevant teaching certificate/qualification.
  • Educated to Master's Degree Level.
  • Completion of a clinical leadership programme or equivalent.
