Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Rehabilitation Instructor to join our Community Respiratory Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality pulmonary rehabilitation services to patients in their own homes and clinics.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver exercise-based programs to patients with respiratory conditions, including pulmonary rehabilitation and exercise prescription.
  • Assess and develop individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of patients, including goal setting and progress monitoring.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including respiratory nurses and physiotherapists, to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide education and support to patients, carers, and families to promote self-management and independence.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience.

Requirements

  • Exercise Instructor qualification (Premier Training or YMCA Level 3) and relevant professional qualification (e.g., NVQ/REPs Level 3 with anatomy/physiology base).
  • Evidence of training in rehabilitation and exercise prescription.
  • Previous experience in rehabilitation or gym instruction, delivering exercise-based programs on an individual and/or class-based level.
  • Experience of working in a community environment and as part of a team.
