About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to join our team in Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a PWP, you will play a vital role in delivering low-intensity psychological interventions to individuals with common mental health problems.

Our team provides a supportive and inclusive environment, with access to bespoke CPD training and regular supervision to ensure your career development. We offer flexible working arrangements, including a blend of home and base working, to promote work-life balance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and supporting individuals with common mental health problems in self-management of their recovery.
  • Delivering low-intensity treatments, primarily via telephone and group sessions, with some face-to-face work.
  • Conducting patient-centered interviews to identify areas for change and assessing risk to self and others.
  • Adhering to activity contracts to minimize waiting times and ensure treatment delivery remains accessible and convenient.
  • Completing data collection requirements within the service.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) Certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions.
  • Evidence of working therapeutically with individuals who have experienced mental health problems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required.

Salary: £28,407 to £34,581 per annum (pro rata).
