Band 3 Patient Pathway Administrative Coordinator
The Trauma and Orthopaedic Department is seeking a dedicated full-time Band 3 Patient Pathway Administrative Coordinator to join our team.
Our department is a vibrant and collaborative environment consisting of 28 administrative professionals who manage all clerical responsibilities for 23 Consultants and their respective clinical teams.
This role presents an excellent opportunity to play a vital part in a growing team that supports consultants in delivering exceptional patient care while adhering to government treatment time standards.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary contact for all administrative matters concerning patients' care pathways.
Key Responsibilities
We are in search of a collaborative team member with strong communication abilities and outstanding customer service skills, coupled with a proactive approach to work. The fast-paced nature of Trauma and Orthopaedics necessitates adaptability, the capacity to perform under pressure, and the ability to meet established deadlines.
The role will entail assisting specific consultants within a focused team, which includes managing outpatient appointments, waiting lists, and various administrative duties.
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess GCSE or an equivalent qualification in English and Maths, along with proficiency in computer applications.

Job Duties
1. Act as the primary point of contact for all administrative concerns related to patients' care pathways.
2. Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to facilitate the proactive management of the patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring a seamless experience.
3. Maintain high levels of satisfaction for both patients and clinicians by being an approachable, customer-oriented, and knowledgeable resource. A consistent approach will be maintained across the organization, guided by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that outline the role's functions and associated timelines.
