About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Oakfield House School. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our pupils with autism and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pupils with their learning through engaging and interactive activities.
  • Manage daily schedules, including activities, breaks, and rest time.
  • Support pupils with their emotional and physical needs, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized learning plans.

Requirements

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths, and grade C or above in English or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
