If you are adaptable with your work schedule and envision yourself assisting adults in need of care, we would be eager to connect with you.

Role Summary

At Turning Point, we are dedicated to supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities throughout England.

As a Care Assistant, your contributions will significantly enhance the lives of residents by fostering their daily living capabilities. With a genuine passion for helping others, you will have the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally, gaining valuable experience and training to advance your career.

Work Environment

Our services cater to adults with learning and physical disabilities.

The supported living facility is conveniently located and accessible via public transport. This three-bedroom service accommodates adults with diverse communication needs, health challenges, and mobility issues. The individuals we assist often lead active social lives and partake in various activities, including outings, swimming, shopping, bingo, horse riding, cycling, and community gatherings. We seek an enthusiastic and positive individual to support all facets of daily living and integrate into our friendly, established team.

You will adopt a person-centered approach in all aspects of the clients' lives, which includes managing their household, providing personal care, facilitating access to community resources, and maintaining connections with significant individuals in their lives. Our services are tailored to promote independence. You will be assisting individuals with learning disabilities, Autism, and other health conditions, and may accompany them to medical appointments. A valid UK driving license is preferred.

We utilize a digital care record system to streamline daily documentation, allowing you to focus more on the individuals we support.

Training and Growth Opportunities

We provide training for those eager to enhance their skills and competencies, not only in the care sector but in various other fields as well.

  • Level 2 and 3 Lead Adult Care Worker
  • Level 3 Operational Team Leader

Please note that training will commence following the completion of your six-month probation period. Once you begin your training, you will be assigned a coach to guide you through your program.

Work Schedule

This is a 24-hour service, necessitating flexibility in your schedule. You will be required to work various shifts, including early morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, as well as sleep-ins or waking nights, including some weekends.

Please be aware that shift patterns may vary.

Key Responsibilities

What will your role entail?

This is a hands-on position where no two days are alike. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Encouraging the independence of the individuals we support
  • Assisting with a comprehensive range of daily activities, including household tasks and leisure outings
  • Organizing activities both within the home and in the local community

  • Compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic
  • Adaptable, patient, and open-minded
  • A collaborative team player with abundant energy
