Job Summary:

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Work Independent Reviewing Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Safeguarding, Partnership & Quality Assurance Service, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of children and young people in care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Chair Looked After Reviews: Lead independent chairing of reviews for looked after children, ensuring compliance with current legislation and the IRO Handbook.
  2. Quality Assurance: Monitor and audit cases, ensuring regular review and monitoring of individual care plans and timely outcomes for children and young people.
  3. Policy and Procedure Development: Contribute to the development of recording, evaluation, and quality assurance systems for children subject to child protection plans and looked after children.
  4. Consultancy and Guidance: Act as a consultant to managers, social work staff, and other agencies on policy, procedure, and practice relating to safeguarding and children looked after.

Requirements:

  1. CQSW Diploma in Social Work or equivalent.
  2. Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  3. Enhanced DBS check.
  4. Demonstrate understanding of the Council's Customer Care Standards.
  5. Evidence of continuing professional development.
