Role Overview:

As the Golf Clubhouse Operations Manager, you will take charge of overseeing all facets of the Food and Beverage services, Reception, and Melbourne Lodge operations. This position requires a proactive and hands-on approach to ensure the seamless daily functioning of the Clubhouse and Lodge accommodations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide on-the-ground supervision for all events held in the Golf Clubhouse, ensuring the highest standards in food preparation, presentation, and service.
  2. Manage shifts effectively, delivering outstanding customer service while supervising staff and supporting departmental leaders in a calm and professional manner.
  3. Oversee the performance of all Food and Beverage personnel, ensuring operational efficiency and maximizing departmental profitability.
  4. Coordinate with the Main Estate Reception team to ensure smooth operations.
  5. Proactively generate business opportunities for the Golf Clubhouse and Lodge.
  6. Focus on staff training and development, identifying individual needs and creating tailored training plans, including performance reviews.
  7. Foster positive employee relations and maintain effective communication throughout the Clubhouse.
  8. Act as the primary liaison between service and kitchen teams, building a strong partnership with the Head Chef.
  9. Monitor staffing levels and manage annual leave to ensure adequate coverage.
  10. Develop and implement operational standards and policies, keeping staff informed of any changes.
  11. Conduct regular stock assessments for beverages and operational equipment, maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
  12. Collaborate with other departments on the Estate regarding Clubhouse activities and staffing flexibility.
  13. Address housekeeping and maintenance concerns, communicating issues to relevant departments.
  14. Ensure food and beverage costs align with budgetary targets and manage payroll budgets effectively.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Food and Beverage Management.
  • Expertise in reception and room management.
  • A valid Personal License.
  • Experience in training, developing, and mentoring staff.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service to all members and guests.
  • Confidence and professionalism with a strong command of the English language.
  • A hands-on management style across all Clubhouse outlets, including Personnel, Reception, and Melbourne Lodge.
