Role Overview:

As the Golf Clubhouse Manager, you will be at the forefront of our prestigious Golf Clubhouse, responsible for leading, supporting, and managing all aspects of the Food and Beverage services, Reception, and Melbourne Lodge operations. This position requires a proactive and hands-on approach to ensure the seamless day-to-day functioning of the Clubhouse and Lodge accommodations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide on-the-ground supervision of all events within the Golf Clubhouse, ensuring the highest standards in food preparation, presentation, and service.
  2. Efficiently manage shifts, delivering exceptional 5-star customer service while overseeing staff and collaborating with departmental managers to maintain a calm and professional atmosphere.
  3. Supervise all Food and Beverage personnel, facilities, sales, and expenses to maximize departmental profitability.
  4. Oversee the Main Estate Reception operations, supported by the Clubhouse team.
  5. Proactively generate business opportunities for the Golf Clubhouse and Lodge.
  6. Focus on the training and development of staff, identifying individual needs, creating training plans, and conducting performance reviews.
  7. Foster effective employee relations and act as the primary liaison between service and kitchen staff, working closely with the Head Chef.
  8. Monitor annual leave planning to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
  9. Implement and enhance operational standards and policies, keeping staff informed of any changes.
  10. Maintain open communication across the Clubhouse through regular meetings and effective shift handovers.
  11. Ensure a visible management presence within the Clubhouse at all times.
  12. Conduct stock takes for beverage and operational equipment, managing minimum and maximum stock levels.
  13. Collaborate with other departments regarding Clubhouse activities and staffing flexibility.
  14. Address housekeeping and maintenance concerns within the Clubhouse, liaising with relevant departments.
  15. Monitor food and beverage costs in alignment with budget targets.
  16. Operate within payroll budgets, carefully tracking hours worked and providing necessary reports.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Food and Beverage Management.
  • Knowledge of reception and room management.
  • A valid Personal License.
  • Experience in training, developing, and mentoring staff.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional 5-star customer service to all members and guests.
  • A confident and professional demeanor with excellent command of the English language.
  • A hands-on management style across all Clubhouse outlets, including Personnel, Reception, and Melbourne Lodge.
