Role Overview:

As the Golf Clubhouse Manager, you will be at the forefront of operations within our esteemed Golf Clubhouse. Your leadership will guide the Food and Beverage, Reception, and Melbourne Lodge teams, ensuring a hands-on approach to both kitchen and service excellence. This position is pivotal in maintaining the seamless daily operations of the Clubhouse and Lodge.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct supervision of all events within the Golf Clubhouse, ensuring the highest standards in food preparation, presentation, and service.
  2. Oversee efficient shift management, delivering exceptional customer service while supervising staff and collaborating with departmental leaders in a calm and professional manner.
  3. Manage the performance of all Food and Beverage personnel, focusing on maximizing departmental profitability.
  4. Support the Main Estate Reception operations alongside the Clubhouse team.
  5. Drive business growth for the Golf Clubhouse and Lodge through proactive engagement.
  6. Facilitate training and development initiatives for staff, identifying individual needs and conducting performance reviews.
  7. Foster effective employee relations and communication within the team.
  8. Act as the primary liaison between service and kitchen teams, ensuring a strong partnership with the Head Chef.
  9. Monitor staffing levels and manage annual leave to maintain adequate coverage.
  10. Implement and refine operational standards and policies, keeping staff informed of any changes.
  11. Ensure effective communication through regular meetings and thorough shift handovers.
  12. Maintain a visible management presence within the Clubhouse.
  13. Conduct inventory assessments for beverages and operational equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels.
  14. Collaborate with other departments regarding Clubhouse activities and staffing flexibility.
  15. Address housekeeping and maintenance concerns, communicating issues to relevant departments.
  16. Monitor food and beverage costs to align with budgetary targets.
  17. Operate within payroll budgets, closely tracking hours worked and providing necessary reports.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Food and Beverage Management.
  • Knowledge of reception and room management.
  • A valid Personal License.
  • Experience in training, developing, and mentoring staff.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service to members and guests.
  • A confident and professional demeanor with excellent command of the English language.
  • A proactive, hands-on management style across all Clubhouse operations.
