Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Disability Support Assistant to join our team in the Horsham/Nhill region. As a Disability Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to lead everyday lives of their choice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Support Plans: Develop and implement personalized support plans that cater to the unique needs, preferences, and interests of our clients.
  • Assist with Daily Living: Provide support with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, hygiene, and household duties.
  • Enable Personal Choice and Control: Promote and support our clients' personal choice and control, enabling them to make informed decisions about their lives.
  • Administer Medication: Safely administer medication to our clients as required.
Requirements
  • Passion for Enabling: A genuine passion for enabling and working with people with disabilities.
  • Desire for Meaningful Work: A desire for meaningful work and a willingness to provide daily living support.
  • Willingness to Learn: A willingness to learn new skills and undertake ongoing training.
  • Teamwork: A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
What You'll Bring
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check: A current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Working with Children Check: A current Working with Children Check.
  • Unrestricted Australian Driver's License: An unrestricted Australian Driver's License.
  • Covid-19 Vaccination Status: Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status, including booster.
  • First Aid Certificate: A current First Aid Certificate with CPR.
