Position Overview:
We are thrilled to present an opportunity to join Capita as a Building Management, Energy Project Technician.

This is a permanent full-time position that involves supporting various educational institutions with their heating control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering exceptional Building Management System (BMS) services, ensuring the effective operation and ongoing enhancement of our clients' Building Energy Management Systems.
  • Identifying and resolving heating issues through the BEMS, including troubleshooting and rectifying faults.
  • Assessing energy-saving initiatives and aiding in the formulation of strategies aimed at minimizing energy consumption.
  • Analyzing high energy usage and pinpointing areas of significant waste.
  • Advocating for the Energy Management Team and its offerings across the current client portfolio and, when necessary, with external organizations.
  • Collaborating with the team to uphold the highest standards of energy management, focusing on value-for-money and compliance with client specifications, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Supporting the Energy Team Leader and colleagues in fostering improved operational methods and cultivating strong working relationships with other departments to enhance the benefits of integrated professional services and technology in energy management.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Possession of a valid UK driving license.
  • HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with Trend systems and familiarity with other BEMS manufacturers is preferred.
  • Proficient in System Link software.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working within or alongside educational institutions.
