Position Overview
An exceptional opportunity is available for a driven professional to become a vital part of the Gynaecology Administrative Team.
This role primarily focuses on overseeing and enhancing the administrative operations related to the management and coordination of patients referred through the Urgent Suspected Cancer pathway, as well as those directed to Colposcopy by healthcare providers or screening initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing daily support and guidance to the administrative team, ensuring seamless operations as directed by the Patient Pathway Manager.
- Ensuring high-quality patient administration that is essential for delivering exceptional patient care and improving the overall patient experience.
- Managing a comprehensive administrative service for the consultant team, ensuring adherence to the Elective Access policy and Cancer Pathway guidelines.
- Leading designated administrative teams and overseeing budget management.

Management Duties
The role includes:
- Assisting in the management of consultants' schedules, expenses, and on-call rotas.
- Providing leadership and supervision to administrative staff, monitoring performance and attendance.
- Ensuring all administrative tasks are completed to the required standards and within set targets.
- Conducting training and performance reviews for administrative personnel.
- Promoting effective communication within the team through regular meetings.
Patient Pathway Management
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing patient pathways in collaboration with the Patient Pathway Manager to meet performance targets.
- Maintaining accurate waiting lists and ensuring timely patient treatment.
- Collaborating with validation teams to address any discrepancies in patient data.
- Facilitating the setup and maintenance of clinics in accordance with local protocols.
Financial Oversight
The position requires:
- Management of budgets and participation in cost improvement initiatives.
- Preparation of financial reports to meet quality expectations.
- Addressing financial inquiries and providing necessary support.
Additional Responsibilities
Other duties include:
- Conducting audits to enhance data quality.
- Coordinating local projects and supporting staff recruitment and training.
- Ensuring compliance with training requirements and conducting performance appraisals.
