Position Overview:
Our client, a secondary educational institution, is seeking to appoint a dedicated Educational Support Assistant. This role is pivotal in enhancing the learning experience of students throughout the academic year.

Role Responsibilities:
The Educational Support Assistant will engage in a variety of tasks, including:

  • Assisting students during lessons to foster a productive learning environment.
  • Providing support to individuals identified with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Facilitating communication between students and educators to promote effective learning.
  • Creating a safe and encouraging atmosphere for all learners.

Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • GCSE qualifications in English and Mathematics.
  • Relevant experience in educational or childcare settings.
  • A solid understanding of safeguarding principles (mandatory Level 2 CPD Safeguarding training is provided at no cost).
  • Any recognized qualifications in teaching assistance (Levels 1, 2, or 3).
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.

Key Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering educational activities.
  • Collaborating with the teaching staff to cultivate an inclusive learning environment.
  • Working closely with small groups or on a one-to-one basis with students requiring additional support.
  • Adapting educational activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Complying with school policies and procedures, prioritizing safeguarding at all times.
  • Promoting effective teamwork and communication within the educational setting.
