Position Overview:

Our client, a secondary educational institution, is seeking a dedicated educational support assistant to enhance the learning experience of students. The successful candidate will be engaged for the entirety of the academic year, contributing to a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Collaborate with educators to foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all students.
  • Provide targeted support to small groups or individual students requiring additional assistance.
  • Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of students, particularly those with special educational needs.
  • Uphold the institution's policies and procedures, prioritizing student safety and well-being.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, ensuring clear communication and cooperation.

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs in English and Mathematics.
  • Experience in childcare, education, or a related supportive role.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices (mandatory training provided).
  • Relevant teaching assistant qualifications (Level 1, 2, or 3).
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is advantageous.

Compensation:

Competitive pay rate ranging from £83 to £95, based on experience.
