Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the outsourcing team in delivering high-quality bookkeeping services to a portfolio of clients. Key tasks will include:

  • Collating client expense details and ensuring accurate storage of receipts and invoices
  • Reconciling sales ledgers and customer bank accounts, identifying and correcting anomalies
  • Completing and submitting quarterly VAT returns, advising clients on values and payment deadlines
  • Assisting in the production of accounts to support the client accounting team in preparing monthly management accounts

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working as a bookkeeper in an accounting practice environment, with strong IT skills and proficiency in Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar packages. While a professional qualification is not essential, experience will be weighted as the most important factor. The practice is open to supporting candidates who are AAT qualified or seeking to gain a qualification.
