Role Overview

The Head of Financial Planning and Analysis will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and play a critical role in driving business growth through timely and accurate financial information. This position will also contribute to the evolution of SilverRock Bank's strategy by providing financial evaluations of new product propositions and designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial forecasts and strategic plans to inform business decisions.
  • Design and implement pricing models to optimize profitable performance and return on equity, including the evaluation of potential forward flow opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of existing commercial relationships, identifying areas for improvement and mitigating action.
  • Manage interest rate accounting, including revenue forecasting and cost amortization.
  • Support capital and liquidity planning, including stress scenarios, ALCO forecasting, analysis, and documentation.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to identify risks and exposures, optimizing portfolio performance.
  • Evaluate potential acquisition opportunities through robust financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Define and configure management information reporting requirements.
  • Assume CFO responsibilities as needed.
  • Lead and manage a direct team, supporting the wider finance function.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Excellent Excel and modeling skills.
  • Pricing and project appraisal techniques, including return on equity, return on risk-weighted assets, economic profit, NPV, and IRR calculations.
  • Experience with interrogatory query tools to construct and manipulate datasets.
  • Knowledge of financial services, regulatory capital requirements, and balance sheet management.
  • Ability to present complex modeling to senior audiences.
  • Capacity to manage competing priorities.
  • Proven track record of building, developing, and managing teams.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills.
  • Willingness to face new challenges and responsibilities within a dynamic finance function.
