Senior Citrix Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Citrix Engineer to join our team at Reed Technology. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the administration of our Citrix VDI Infrastructure and services.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive team, where you will be responsible for the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Citrix VDI Infrastructure and services. You will work closely with various teams to support and improve Citrix infrastructure operations, manage the Citrix Work Plan and continuous service improvement initiatives, and ensure effective service delivery by assessing client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer the Citrix VDI Infrastructure and services, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with various teams to support and improve Citrix infrastructure operations, including network, security, and storage teams.
  • Manage the Citrix Work Plan and continuous service improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Ensure effective service delivery by assessing client needs and providing timely support.
  • Liaise with third parties and vendors for service management, ensuring seamless integration and communication.
  • Contribute to project delivery and operational change through change requests, working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Maintain Citrix monitoring and reporting systems, providing real-time insights and analytics.
  • Uphold security and governance within the Citrix environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage complex multi-site Citrix infrastructure operations, ensuring scalability and reliability.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience with Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix Cloud, Active Directory, Group Policies, Citrix Profile Management, Provisioning Services, NetScaler, VMware ESX, and networking.
  • Expertise in applications packaging, databases, storage, networking, and security.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Proven track record of managing complex multi-site Citrix infrastructure operations.
  • Experience with Citrix service upgrades and migrations.
  • Familiarity with Control Up is desirable.
  • Strong project management and delivery skills.
  • Recent Citrix certifications to Professional level are desirable.
  • Excellent demand management, planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience in ITIL environments and processes, preferably using ServiceNow.
