Senior Structural Design Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Design Manager to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing and managing multi-discipline internal and external design teams. Your expertise in structural design and engineering will be essential in delivering high-quality projects that meet our clients' strategic and environmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the client's strategic requirement into a detailed Statement of Requirements (SOR) addressing performance, dependencies, test and commissioning, applicable standards/regulations, and acceptance criteria.
- Build, develop, and manage multi-discipline internal and external design teams, ensuring that designs align to client's strategic and environmental objectives.
- Conduct structural surveys, provide reports and repair specifications, and ensure that designs are feasible and meet timescales.
- Support and advise the client regarding design elements, maximising relations and factoring in delivery.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Degree within Structural Engineering, structural design experience in a relevant industry, and be currently holding or working towards Chartered Engineer status.
- Knowledge of Building Regulations, British standards, and Eurocodes.
- Strong communication skills, established negotiation ability, and key attributes such as listening, clarification, concise behaviours, and persuasiveness.
