Accommodation Manager Job Description

At Smorg ROI Mgt Ltd - Travelodge Ireland, we are seeking a highly skilled Accommodation Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Accommodation Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hotel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Accommodation Manager in the day-to-day running of the Accommodation Department, ensuring high standards of guest satisfaction and revenue optimization.
  • Develop and implement quality standards and customer care initiatives to enhance the guest experience.
  • Collaborate with the Accommodation Manager to set budgets and controls, ensuring maximum profitability in all areas of responsibility.
  • Maximize sales opportunities and promote a selling environment throughout the department, ensuring sales targets are met.
  • Foster good team relations, ensuring fairness and consistency in all dealings with team members.
  • Adhere to all Human Resources Management procedures and develop these as required.
  • Stay aware of relevant competitor information and market changes, initiating changes to our services where appropriate.
  • Ensure comprehensive guest histories are kept and used in all areas of responsibility.
  • Assist the Accommodation Manager in drawing up rosters in line with business needs.
  • Hold daily team briefings in the absence of the Accommodation Manager, ensuring effective communication.
  • Maintain a high level of hygiene throughout the department at all times.
  • Assist the Accommodation Manager in ensuring an appropriate and comprehensive customer feedback system is in operation.
  • Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of equipment, furniture, and fittings, with an effective preventative maintenance system and schedule in operation.
