About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Environment and Climatic Adaptations Engineer to join our team in Derby. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for applying engineering instructions, guidelines, and established internal processes of the ECA domain to support project/offer development.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and derive climatic environment requirements and provide the related Transverse Requirements Specification (TRS)
  • Ensure corrosion protection performances using ALSTOM standards
  • Support engineering, suppliers, production, and quality with metallic and non-metallic material selection
  • Liaise with Environment and Climatic Adaptations engineers from other sites to gather relevant Return on Experience (REX)
  • Participate in R&D projects and work packages
Requirements
  • Chemical, Materials, or General Engineering degree Bachelor/Master of Science or equivalent
  • Management skills to lead R&D actions with a transversal approach
  • Good communication skills, pro-activity, team working, strategic vision
  • Knowledge of climatic and corrosion international standards
  • English conversational/writing/reading advanced level mandatory
  • French conversational/reading advanced level is preferred
