Your Role

Step into a pivotal role as an Environmental Adaptations Engineer, where you will leverage your expertise in environmental engineering within a progressive field. Reporting to the Domain Leader Specialist, you will collaborate with a passionate engineering team in Alstom UK&I.

In your daily responsibilities, you will engage in tender processes, project execution, and validation phases, which include:

  • Defining client deliverables and requirements
  • Conducting calculations and providing support for the functional performance of train systems
  • Collecting climatic environment requirements and developing the Transverse Requirements Specification (TRS)
  • Participating in design reviews focused on environmental adaptations
  • Ensuring design compliance with TRS and engineering instructions throughout the design process
  • Supporting R&D initiatives and contributing to continuous improvement efforts

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze climatic environment requirements to formulate the TRS
  • Ensure compliance with corrosion protection standards
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, and production for material selection
  • Engage with engineers from other locations to share and gather relevant experiences
  • Contribute to research and development projects

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemical, Materials, or General Engineering (Bachelor/Master of Science or equivalent)
  • Leadership skills to manage R&D initiatives
  • Strong communication abilities and teamwork orientation
  • Familiarity with international climatic and corrosion standards
  • Proficiency in English (advanced level required); French is a plus
