Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated professional with a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management within the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough Health & Safety inspections and audits across various construction sites, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Evaluate Construction Phase Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments, assisting engineers in formulating effective risk mitigation strategies based on audit findings.
  • Offer expert guidance and support to clients and project teams regarding Construction Health & Safety, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Engage collaboratively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Construction Health & Safety, demonstrating a successful track record in a similar capacity.
  • Possession of a NEBOSH (Construction) qualification or an equivalent credential in occupational health and safety, along with a Tech IOSH qualification or higher, showcasing a robust understanding of Construction Health & Safety principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 and other pertinent legislation, with the capability to interpret and apply these effectively.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Construction HSE practices, including Permit to Work systems, work at height protocols, asbestos management, and accident/incident prevention and investigation.
  • Strong analytical abilities to identify potential hazards and develop practical risk management solutions.
  • Proven capacity to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, and adhere to deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety management systems and software, as well as experience with CHAS, Safe Contractor, or similar construction accreditation schemes.

Additional Information: Please be aware that the rate paid by the Umbrella will be lower, as will the Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate.
