The starting salary for this position is £24,150, with annual increases aligned with our pay progression structure, reaching up to £28,252 per year. Depending on your experience, a higher starting salary may be considered.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist the Criminal Justice Team in actively addressing drug-related offenses, in alignment with national strategies. This role involves managing a caseload of clients within the criminal justice system, ensuring their treatment adheres to our policies while also complying with legal requirements.

A significant portion of your work will involve collaboration with key stakeholders, including law enforcement, correctional facilities, judicial systems, and probation services. Strong relationship management skills are essential.

You will collaborate with CONNECT teams to fulfill the objectives of the service, requiring organization, focus, teamwork, and innovative problem-solving skills.

In addition to managing your caseload, your regular responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating court-mandated treatments.
  • Engaging in drug supply disruption initiatives.
  • Implementing drug testing upon arrest.
  • Providing support within police custody settings.
  • Ensuring continuity of care for individuals transitioning from prison.
  • Addressing the needs of women involved in the criminal justice system.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Candidates should have experience managing a substantial caseload in a dynamic environment, such as a Recovery Worker or Outreach Worker, with a solid understanding of substance use and recovery principles. Flexibility and awareness of potential relapse triggers are crucial for success in this diverse role.

Responsibilities will include conducting recovery coordination sessions, developing risk assessments and management plans, and delivering educational presentations and workshops.

Proficiency in IT, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is necessary for this role. A full driving license and access to a vehicle are required for travel across the service area.
