About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team at Turning Point. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from substance abuse and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key worker to a caseload of service users, providing regular support and guidance to help them achieve their goals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive support network
  • Conduct assessments, risk management planning, and provide psycho-social interventions to support service users in their recovery journey
  • Work closely with clinical staff, partner agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless and effective support system
  • Provide advice, information, and support to service users, their families, and other stakeholders to help them navigate the recovery process

Requirements

  • Understanding of substance and alcohol use, and the challenges and opportunities for individuals on a recovery journey
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work dynamically on a one-to-one and group basis, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery, with a commitment to helping service users overcome these challenges
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with a commitment to collaboration and mutual support
