Position Overview

**Relocation Assistance Available**

We provide a relocation assistance package for candidates who may need to move to accept a position with Cheshire and Wirral Partnership. Specific terms and conditions apply.

If relocation is necessary, please indicate this in your application so we can address it during the interview process.

Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) is seeking passionate, driven, and committed Band 5 Nursing Professionals to become part of our team at Ancora House.

Ancora House is a specialized inpatient service for children and adolescents dealing with mental health challenges, featuring 30 beds across two distinct wards: Coral and Indigo. Our unit caters to a diverse range of adolescent needs, including those with eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of a supportive and knowledgeable multidisciplinary team, you will work on a rotational shift schedule, which includes day, night, and twilight shifts. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to delivering exceptional care to our service users. We provide a comprehensive training and preceptorship program to support your professional development.

Candidates must demonstrate a clear understanding and application of the 6 C's in their practice: Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment.

Ancora House is situated within a health park, providing a conducive environment for both staff and service users.

About Our Organization

CWP delivers a range of health and care services to the local community, including mental health support, learning disability services, community physical health, and all-age disability care, alongside the operation of several GP practices.

Our mission is to empower individuals to reach their full potential through a compassionate, person-centered approach. We have been recognized for our outstanding care by the Care Quality Commission.

We offer a variety of roles across different levels, making CWP an ideal employer for both newcomers to the field and experienced professionals seeking new opportunities.

CWP is dedicated to fostering inclusive recruitment practices. We promote equality and diversity and strive to create a culture that values differences.

To support new employees, we provide an induction program tailored to the role, including our Prepare to Care initiative, designed to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to thrive at CWP.

We encourage applications from individuals with firsthand experience of our services.

Job Duties

For a detailed overview of the job responsibilities, please refer to the job description document.

Our recruitment process is competency-based, focusing on the values and behaviors that align with our Trust's mission. If selected for an interview, you will participate in a Values-Based Assessment, which evaluates not only your skills but also your motivations and approach to nursing.

We encourage you to familiarize yourself with our Trust's Values and Behaviors, which encompass the 6 Cs: Communication, Competence, Courage, Care, Compassion, and Commitment. Your application should reflect your understanding of these values, supported by examples from your professional or personal experiences.

For assistance with your application, please consult our applicant guide available on our website. If you require additional support, our recruitment team is available to help.

If you identify as having a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 and meet the essential criteria for the position, please indicate your interest in being considered under the Guaranteed Interview Scheme.

We are proud to be a Veteran Aware organization, committed to providing exemplary care for our armed forces community. We encourage applications from veterans and those involved in the armed forces.

Please note that applicants will be responsible for the cost of their DBS check, which will be deducted from their salary. We recommend enrolling in the DBS Update Service, which incurs a small annual fee.

New entrants to the NHS will start at the minimum of the stated pay scale.

We advise early applications, as we may close the vacancy if we receive a high volume of applications.

We wish you the best of luck with your application and look forward to potentially welcoming you to our team at CWP.
