Job Title: Audi Workshop Controller

First Military Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Audi Workshop Controller to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of our workshop, including planning and managing resource requirements, reporting directly to the Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Schedule daily workshop activities to achieve key targets while monitoring work in progress.
  2. Proactively plan and identify parts required for workshop repairs, liaising with the Parts Department for availability.
  3. Ensure high standards are met by managing and mentoring workshop staff to deliver industry-leading customer service.
  4. Offer technical support to customers and engineers to ensure timely repairs.
  5. Communicate with manufacturers to improve product quality and reliability.
  6. Work closely with Sales and Aftersales to deliver excellent customer service.
  7. Carry out final checks to ensure repair jobs have been completed correctly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  8. Maintain a professional environment, ensuring work areas and protective clothing are clean and tidy.
Requirements:
  1. Experience in mechanics/diagnostics of vehicles or machinery is essential, preferably from working for a main dealer or manufacturer.
  2. Ability to diagnose and advise on problems over the phone or using remote diagnostics.
  3. Understanding of modern vehicle engine emission systems and CanBus systems would be an advantage, as would hydraulic and hydrostatic systems diagnostics.
  4. Ability to work effectively and motivate a team.
  5. Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
  6. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  7. Able to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  8. Strong organisational skills.
  9. Possess a problem-solving nature with an eye for accuracy and detail.
  10. Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  11. Good understanding of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
