Clinical Expert in Surgical Speech and Language Therapy

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Expert to join our Surgical Speech and Language Therapy Service at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supervising staff and project management, with a strong background in clinical expertise and leadership.
Main Responsibilities
- To work as an independent practitioner, accessing the Department's supervision system and seeking peer support from specialist practitioners.
- To monitor and evaluate own service delivery, providing progress reports to the Team Leader/Clinical Expert.
- To keep the Team Leader/Clinical Expert informed of significant service issues, including shortfall, service pressures, complaints, and plaudits.
- To undertake managerial projects in collaboration with speech and language therapy colleagues.
- To have responsibility for teaching in the specialist subject.
- To initiate, plan, and implement research, development, and audit activities in conjunction with the Team Leader, Head of Speech and Language Therapy, and the multi-disciplinary team.
