Job Overview

This is a fixed-term opportunity for a Workforce Business Partner to join Swansea Bay University Health Board. The successful candidate will work strategically with Corporate divisions to understand their service strategies and business objectives.

Main Duties

The Workforce Business Partner will act as a senior member of the Health Board's Workforce & Organisational Development Team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and supporting the delivery of workforce and organisational development strategies
  • Providing regular reports, analysis, and recommendations for action against key performance indicators and transformational change objectives
  • Leading on the identification of workforce-related cost efficiency schemes and supporting their delivery
  • Supporting hearings, appeal panels, and complex investigations as needed
  • Interpreting employment legislation and case law, providing authoritative advice on complex workforce and OD issues

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • CIPD Qualified – MCIPD, Masters level or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Expert knowledge of HR best practice and employment law
  • Knowledge of workforce planning within a complex work environment, long-term planning, and strategy development processes
Desirable Criteria

The following qualifications and experience are desirable:

  • Formal Employment Law qualification
  • Coaching Certificate
  • Experience of working across a range of organisations to achieve significant change
  • Experience of strategic and planning development
