Hours: 40.00 hours per week, working 3.5 days across Mon-Sun, including public bank holidays, on one of two shift patterns:

Nights: working between 18:30 and 07:00

Days: working between 06:30 - 19:00

The Fleet Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation fleet. Adherence to established standards and methodologies is essential as you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Maintain the Distribution Management System with accurate daily data input and ensure all drivers are debriefed at the end of their shifts.

• Keep Isotrak, Business Asset Tracker, and Vision FTA updated, ensuring compliance with European legislation regarding HGV drivers' hours.

• Manage the issuance of vehicle keys and logbooks according to Royal Mail protocols.

• Ensure digital tachograph cards are downloaded in accordance with company policy.

• Conduct daily debriefs with drivers, escalating any unresolved issues to the shift manager.

• Oversee that planned maintenance is executed for vehicles, keeping the maintenance board and vehicle files current.

Additionally, you may be required to undertake various administrative duties as needed.

Key Qualifications


• Highly organized, self-sufficient, and motivated

• Familiarity with safety and legal standards, including drivers' hours regulations, vehicle inspections, Safe Systems of Work, risk assessments, and accident investigations

• Previous experience in the mail and parcel industry is preferred

• Proficient in computer applications with strong numeracy and literacy skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word

• Capable of managing data input to meet deadlines while ensuring confidentiality at all times
