  • Manage Complex Planning Policy Research and Development Projects: Oversee the development of policy documents, consultations, and stakeholder negotiations, ensuring that they are of the highest quality and meet the needs of the council and the community.
  • Provide Expert Planning Advice: Provide expert planning advice to colleagues, stakeholders, and the public, ensuring that they have the information they need to make informed decisions.
  • Oversee Community Engagement and Consultation Processes: Manage community engagement and consultation processes, ensuring that the voices of the community are heard and valued.
  • Collaborate Across Council Departments: Collaborate with other council departments to deliver strategic infrastructure and regeneration plans, ensuring that they are aligned with the council's strategic objectives.
Requirements:
  • Planning Qualifications and Experience: Possess planning qualifications and experience, ideally within a London context.
  • Strong Understanding of Town Planning Legislation and Policies: Have a strong understanding of town planning legislation and policies, including the Local Plan.
  • Experience in Managing Policy Documents and Consultations: Have experience in managing policy documents, consultations, and stakeholder negotiations.
  • Ability to Work Autonomously: Be able to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent Communication and Report-Writing Skills: Possess excellent communication and report-writing skills, including the ability to write clear and concise reports.
  • Driving Licence and DVLA Check: Hold a driving licence and be willing to undergo a DVLA check.
