About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pastoral Officer to join our team at Plumstead Manor School. As a key member of our pastoral team, you will work closely with Heads of Year and Deputy Heads of Year to provide exceptional support to students and maintain high standards of discipline and behavior.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor attendance and punctuality across a particular cohort
  • Develop and implement pastoral support programs for individual students
  • Support Heads of Year in following up behavior incidents
  • Supervise student detentions and independent study periods
  • Provide restorative mediation for students
  • Liaise with internal and external agencies to ensure a tailored program of support
  • Attend multidisciplinary forums to discuss student welfare
Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification and Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths
  • Desirable qualifications in education, social work, mediation, or youth work
  • Experience working with young people in Key Stages 3, 4, or 5
  • Competent ICT skills
