About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Officer to join our team at Plumstead Manor School. As a key member of our pastoral team, you will work closely with Heads of Year and Deputy Heads of Year to provide exceptional support to students and maintain high standards of discipline and behavior.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor attendance and punctuality across a particular cohort
  • Develop and monitor pastoral support programs for individual students
  • Support Heads of Year in following up behavior incidents
  • Supervise student detentions and independent study periods
  • Provide restorative mediation for students
  • Liaise with outside agencies to ensure a tailored program of support
  • Attend multidisciplinary forums such as TAC and PEP meetings
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Level 3 qualification and at least a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths. A suitable qualification relating to education, social work, mediation, or youth work is desirable. You will also need to have experience working with young people in Key Stages 3, 4, or 5 and competent ICT skills.
