What is the Opportunity?

The Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director, Third Party Risk Management to lead the bank's third-party risk management efforts in the UK and EU. As a key member of the Enterprise Third Party Risk Management team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining effective third-party risk management controls and practices to ensure the bank's operations in the UK and EU are aligned with regulatory requirements and the bank's risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive third-party risk management framework to ensure the bank's operations in the UK and EU are aligned with regulatory requirements and the bank's risk appetite.
  • Lead the design and implementation of third-party risk management controls and practices to ensure the bank's operations in the UK and EU are effective and efficient.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the bank to ensure effective third-party risk management practices are in place and aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, to ensure the bank's third-party risk management practices are aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the bank's third-party risk management team to ensure effective risk management practices are in place.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure the bank's employees understand the importance of third-party risk management and their roles and responsibilities in ensuring effective risk management practices are in place.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure the bank's third-party risk management practices are aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in third-party risk management, preferably in a financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to third-party risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across the bank.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective third-party risk management controls and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate third-party risk.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
