We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our community service team at Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with experienced SLTs, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and primary care colleagues to provide high-quality care to patients with communication and swallowing difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a clinical caseload, ensuring that clinical governance and quality assurance standards are met.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff and students, focusing on specialist areas such as progressive neurological conditions and palliative care.
- Contribute to clinical education, mentoring less experienced staff, assistants, or students.
- Participate in service development, exploring new ways of working and contributing to the growth of our community-based services.
- Postgraduate education and training in advanced dysphagia (level 6 RCSLT EDSCF).
- Experience in managing a clinical caseload, ensuring clinical governance and quality assurance standards are met.
- Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy (RCSLT).
- Recognized Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification.
- Substantial SLT experience within community and domiciliary environments or strong understanding of transferrable skillset from alternative settings.
