An exciting opportunity has emerged for an Export and Import Compliance Officer to become a vital part of the team at Morson Talent.

Role Overview

The Export and Import Compliance Officer will be responsible for overseeing all export and import operations, ensuring adherence to both UK and international trade regulations, while facilitating the efficient delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities


• Ensure compliance with company export/import policies and procedures


• Guarantee adherence to UK and international export and import regulations


• Manage the UK Export licensing process through relevant platforms and liaise with local authorities


• Collaborate with government entities and drive business initiatives to meet export and import standards


• Lead preparations and conduct audits related to Import & Export


• Oversee all UK Import processes and coordinate with local authorities for timely goods importation


• Manage the lifecycle of Hardware in both Export and Import processes


• Ensure compliance with Technology transfer processes


• Uphold ethical standards on behalf of the organization


• Provide expert guidance on Export Licensing and Imports, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders


• Prepare and maintain all necessary export licenses, documentation, and invoices.

Candidate Profile

The ideal Export and Import Compliance Officer will cultivate and manage effective relationships throughout the organization and with clients, demonstrating confidence in leading cross-functional project teams. The successful applicant will be expected to exhibit the following skills and attributes:

• Proficient in IT applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)

Knowledge Requirements:


• Over 8 years of experience in export and import compliance roles


• Comprehensive understanding of UK Export Control & Licensing regulations


• Familiarity with UK and International Export and Import systems


• Knowledge of non-UK Export Controls, particularly in the EU and US contexts


• Proven experience in export and import shipping operations, including coordination with freight forwarders and customs.
