Position Overview- The Role of the Registered Nurse:
- Provides empathetic nursing care to patients experiencing complex heart failure, cardiovascular issues, and related chronic ailments, promoting optimal health both independently and as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team.
- Enhances the quality of life for patients and their families through effective communication and teamwork with other healthcare professionals.
- Commits to ongoing education and the application of evidence-based nursing practices.
- Develops personal clinical expertise and knowledge.
- Engages in designated hospital committees and participates in relevant research initiatives.
This role is classified as Casual, meaning that hours are not guaranteed and may vary, with shifts potentially assigned on short notice. Casual staff have the opportunity to apply for both permanent and temporary roles within the organization. Many career advancement opportunities at Interior Health Authority begin with casual positions that can evolve into regular employment.
Typical shifts are scheduled during weekdays, from 08:30 to 16:30 hours.
- The hourly wage will range from $41.42 to $55.91.
