About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrator to join our team at a Secondary School in Chorley. As a key member of the school office, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, Teachers, Pupils, and Parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet and greet all visitors to the school, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Answer and direct all incoming phone calls, providing excellent customer service.
  • Carry out general administration duties, including the use of the SIMS system, to maintain the smooth operation of the school office.
  • Maintain email accounts, responding to queries and directing enquiries as required.
  • Assist in the upkeep of contact records, including student, staff, and trustee contact information.
  • Create mailing labels, order stationery, and first-aid equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a school office, ideally with SIMS experience.
  • Ability to liaise and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Teachers, Pupils, and Parents.
  • Strong administration skills, with the ability to manage the day-to-day running of the school office.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a full-time basis within an educational environment. Aspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business, committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.

The contracted hours of work for the role will be Monday-Friday, 8:00am-16:00pm. The position is currently temporary but has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
