About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Condition & Disrepair Surveyor to join our team at a leading affordable housing provider in Cornwall. As a key member of our property services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the programming of works and allocate resources to conflicting priorities to maintain a high level of performance across the organisation.
  • Work under the guidance of the Senior Property Services Manager to coordinate the service and undertake surveys where there is or has been a complaint of damp and mould or disrepair.
  • Make recommendations for appropriate remedial works and be the first point of contact where problems and issues arise, taking responsibility to resolve them with operational staff.
  • Assist with introducing, monitoring and maintaining KPI's that reflect Tenants needs.
Requirements
  • Experience of supporting an organisation within a role of total prevention and care of damp and mould and disrepair in properties.
  • Carrying out building surveys in tenants homes and identifying remediating causes of damp and mould within properties.
  • Coordinating internal and external contractors to ensure works are carried out and understanding of current disrepair legislation.
  • Education to A Level Grade A-C or equivalent Level 3 qualification and a HNC in Building Construction or equivalent.
  • A Diploma in surveying practice and a qualification in domestic energy assessor is desirable and not essential.
