What is the purpose of this position?

This is a remarkable opportunity at Your Housing Group to take on the role of Head of Maintenance Operations, where you will provide strategic oversight and management of our well-established, in-house Repairs & Maintenance division.

Our internal Repairs and Maintenance Service has seen significant growth and transformation recently, necessitating the appointment of a Head of Maintenance Operations to lead this vital division at YHG. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of excellence, enhancing skills, and integrating advanced technologies to establish a high-performing, customer-centric model for all stakeholders.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Primarily, you will spearhead the development and delivery of our repairs and maintenance services, ensuring that we achieve the highest standards of customer satisfaction and service execution, while maintaining top-notch quality and safety in all operations.

Collaborating closely with our newly appointed Chief Property Officer, you will help define strategic priorities and business plans, effectively communicating these to your teams to meet our core objectives.

You will serve as the strategic and operational leader for the Heads of Division and Managers who report directly to you, offering leadership, guidance, and support as they work towards these business goals, while also acting as a trusted advisor and mentor when necessary.

Your strong relationship-building skills will enable you to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally, fostering positive partnerships with the broader organization and key external stakeholders.
