About the Operations Division

The Operations division is central to our customers' experience at THG. We manufacture a wide array of sports nutrition and cosmetic consumer goods, which we dispatch to customers in over 200 countries from our state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution centers.

Position Overview: UK Maintenance and Operational Excellence Lead

The UK Maintenance and Operational Excellence Lead is a pivotal role that collaborates across UK manufacturing sites to instill world-class maintenance and operational practices while providing support to site teams.

Given the varying levels of maturity across sites, your responsibility will be to identify priorities and develop comprehensive plans for accelerated implementation. This role involves travel and remote support, with a base location in either Manchester or Warrington.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist site engineers and engineering teams in developing the maintenance roadmap to enhance the solid foundations already established.
  • Act as the engineering point of escalation when site teams require assistance from external resources.
  • Collaborate closely with site engineering and leadership teams to ensure maintenance strategies align with site objectives.
  • Support site teams in securing investment requests to ensure ongoing progress.
  • Lead the Continuous Improvement team, establishing objectives, priorities, and strategies to support the THG/Manufacturing network.
  • Oversee the implementation of consistent performance metrics across the organization and utilize these metrics to identify improvement opportunities through Continuous Improvement or investment.

Qualifications

  • Engineering background with experience in developing engineering or operational roadmaps.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to challenge positively and foster collaboration.
  • Experience in a multi-site role is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve success.
  • Commitment to Continuous Improvement and Innovation, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in PPM strategy, improvement techniques, and tools.
  • Familiarity with Lean and TPM methodologies.
  • Experience in mentoring is beneficial.
