About the Operations Division
The Operations division is integral to our customers' experiences at THG. We manufacture a diverse range of sports nutrition and cosmetic consumer goods, which we then distribute to clients in over 200 countries from our state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution centers.
Position Overview: UK Maintenance & Operational Excellence Lead
The UK Maintenance & Operational Excellence Lead is a pivotal role that collaborates across UK manufacturing sites to instill world-class maintenance and operational practices while providing essential support to site teams.
Given the varying levels of maturity across sites, your responsibility will be to establish priorities and develop comprehensive plans for an accelerated implementation approach. This role involves travel and remote support, with a base location in either Manchester or Warrington.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist site engineers and engineering teams in executing the maintenance roadmap, building upon the strong foundations already established.
- Act as the engineering point of escalation when site teams require support from external resources.
- Collaborate closely with site engineering and leadership teams to ensure maintenance strategies align with site objectives.
- Support site teams in their investment requests to ensure ongoing progression.
- Lead the Continuous Improvement team, establishing objectives, priorities, and strategies to enhance the THG/Manufacturing network.
- Oversee the implementation of consistent performance metrics across the group, utilizing these metrics to identify opportunities for improvement through Continuous Improvement initiatives or investment.
Qualifications
- Engineering background with experience in developing engineering or operational roadmaps.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to challenge positively and foster collaboration.
- Experience in a multi-site role is advantageous.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve results.
- Commitment to Continuous Improvement and Innovation, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge and experience with PPM strategies, improvement techniques, and tools.
- Familiarity with Lean and TPM methodologies.
- Experience in mentoring is beneficial.
