Job Overview

Your Housing Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Repairs and Maintenance to lead our in-house Repairs & Maintenance division. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving forward the culture, skills, and technologies required to move to a high-performing, customer-first model for all our customers.

About the Role

As Director of Repairs and Maintenance, you will be responsible for leading the development and provision of our repairs and maintenance offering, ensuring the highest standards of customer care and service delivery are achieved. You will work in partnership with our Chief Property Officer to shape strategic priorities and business plans, and cascade these through the teams to deliver on our key objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and provision of our repairs and maintenance offering, ensuring the highest standards of customer care and service delivery are achieved.
  • Work in partnership with our Chief Property Officer to shape strategic priorities and business plans.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Heads of Division and Managers as they deliver on business plans.
  • Be the strategic and operational lead for each of the Heads of Division and Managers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Experience in leading a sizable repairs and maintenance function.Insight and understanding of how to implement real change at the operational level.Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to lead from the front and build positive partnerships with both the wider business and core external partners.Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
