Senior Business Analyst - ETRM Solutions

Overview:

Intec Select is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst with expertise in Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems. This pivotal role involves spearheading the analysis, design, and execution of system enhancements to optimize trading operations.

The successful candidate will possess a profound understanding of ETRM platforms, outstanding analytical skills, and a strategic approach to foster innovation and operational efficiency. This position is integral to our team and encompasses the following responsibilities:

  • Leading the assessment of intricate business requirements, outlining processes, and proposing ETRM system improvements to align with organizational goals.
  • Acting as the main point of contact between business units and IT, ensuring effective communication and alignment on project objectives and outcomes.
  • Designing and supervising the deployment of sophisticated ETRM solutions, including tailored functionalities, to enhance trading and risk management processes.
  • Conducting comprehensive testing and validation of new system features, ensuring they adhere to high-quality standards and fulfill business requirements prior to implementation.
  • Offering guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, promoting a culture of continuous development and professional advancement within the team.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a technical business analyst capacity within the energy trading domain.
  • Proven experience with Endur/Findur, including the ability to analyze and resolve complex business challenges, alongside a solid understanding of their architecture and customization capabilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of energy trading and risk management (ETRM) Front-to-Back business processes, including trade exchange integration, trade capture, trade valuation, confirmations, invoicing, and risk reporting.
  • As a technical business analyst, substantial experience with T-SQL (SQL Server or Oracle) is essential. Familiarity with Python, Java, or similar scripting languages is advantageous.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Financial and Physical North American Power and Gas Markets.
  • Familiarity with US or EU Renewables Trading.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities, with a proven history of leading large-scale ETRM implementation or enhancement initiatives.
  • Experience in designing in-house ETRMs or transitioning to different ETRMs is highly regarded.
