Our client is seeking a Senior Bid Coordinator to oversee a significant highways initiative. This position allows for hybrid working arrangements with necessary visits to the head office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a comprehensive bid schedule, ensuring effective presentation of bid progress at key governance stages (kick-off, mid-bid, and final review).
- Create and deliver client presentations, facilitate client technical query meetings, and conduct pre-contract site assessments.
- Organize and lead bid workshops focusing on strategy, winning themes, risk management, and constructability evaluations.
- Collaborate proactively with operational teams, supply chain partners, and specialists to identify innovative solutions that enhance bid differentiation.
- Analyze both successful and unsuccessful bids, providing feedback and insights to promote continuous improvement and development within the pre-contract team.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of experience in bid management, demonstrating the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing Civils, Infrastructure, Energy, or Water projects exceeding £20m from PQQs to ITTs.
- Background in securing complex frameworks is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with NEC 3 & 4 contract frameworks and a strong understanding of commercial principles.
- A degree in an engineering discipline is preferred, along with the ability to conduct thorough client and stakeholder research during bid preparation.
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain engagement during the preconstruction phase to support accurate estimating.
- Understanding of proposal development, estimating, and programme management (P6) to ensure a robust and competitive bid.
- Capability to manage and oversee a bid programme, engaging with discipline leads and subject matter experts to craft a compelling proposal.
