About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domiciliary Care Assistant to join our team at Richmond Villages Wood Norton. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, enabling them to live their best lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal care duties, such as bathing, dressing, and continence care, in their own homes within the village.
  • Support at mealtimes, serving meals in residents' apartments or within the care home, and assist with mobility and transfers as needed.
  • Help promote mental and physical activity of residents through hobbies, interests, or activities within the village.
  • Respond to emergency calls when the care alert system is activated.
  • Collaborate with the Domiciliary Care Manager and other external professionals, such as GPs, chiropodists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, as required.
  • Perform administrative duties, including maintaining accurate records and documentation to show care given, activities, and any changes to residents' health.
Requirements
  • Experience in a care or dementia setting, or a Level 2/3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Passion for caring for others, honoring their choices, and prioritizing their safety and well-being.
  • Excellent listening skills, with an optimistic attitude and ability to engage confidently with residents and their families.
  • Confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, setting a positive example and assisting colleagues as needed.
